The Kia Telluride is an impressive three-row SUV with a quiet and upscale cabin, impressive tech, and an extensive list of standard features. Sitting on 18 or 20-inch wheels, the Kia Telluride offers a refreshed gloss-black X-Line/X-Pro styling, sleek exterior colors, and updated LED headlights and taillights. But the exterior isn't the only outstanding feature of this model.
The Telluride's bold outward appearance is complimented by its slick, upscale, and undeniably comfortable interior. The materials are attractive, and its amenities are plentiful. Across its various trims, Ashwaubenon customers can find driver's seat memory settings, a head-up display, heated and ventilated rear seats, and Nappa leather upholstery.
Not only is the cabin comfortable and practical, but it's also spacious. There's room for eight with a second-row bench seat or room for seven with the optional captain's chairs. The cargo area is also spacious as it measures 21 cubic feet behind the third row and 87 cubes with both rows folded down. For reference, that's about four carry-on suitcases behind the third row, and with the seats folded flat, that's around 35 bags.
Every Telluride model is powered by a naturally aspirated V-6 engine that produces 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that powers the front wheels. Though all-wheel drive is optional across the board.
Unlike other three-row SUVs, the Telluride is only offered with a V-6 powertrain. As such, this model can tow upwards of 5,00 pounds. The EPA also estimates that front-drive models will have a fuel economy of about 20 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. All-wheel-drive models, though, will drop this rating to 19 mpg city and 24 mpg highway.
The cabin of the Telluride gives drivers a robust infotainment system that runs on a 12.3-inch touchscreen. Standard tech offered on this system includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, in-dash navigation, and onboard Wi-Fi.
A 10-speaker Harman/Kardon audio system, a 110-volt power inverter, and wireless smartphone charging are also available. There's also a unique feature Pulaski drivers will enjoy called Driver Talk. This feature amplifies the driver's voice through speakers in the back two rows to better communicate with passengers.
As you take to the Howard-Suamico streets, you'll be kept safe thanks to the comprehensive suite of driver-assistance technology that's standard on all Telluride models. Basic features include adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert, and forward collision mitigation.
Several upgraded features are also available, including automatic high beams, a 360-degree camera system, and Highway Driving Assist 2, an adaptive cruise control enhancement that allows you to change lanes by simply hitting the turn signal.
The 2024 Kia Telluride is available in five trim levels.
