Diesel Technician
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm or 7:00am - 4:00pm
Job Description:
Position Summary: The Diesel Technician at Dorsch is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and diesel-powered vehicles in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently complete repairs while ensuring quality and safety. The Diesel Technician works closely with the service team to deliver timely service and an exceptional customer experience.
Pay: Based on ExperienceEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, electrical, and other vehicle systems
- Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections
- Accurately complete repair orders and document all work performed
- Use diagnostic tools and computer equipment to identify issues and recommend repairs
- Communicate with Service Advisors regarding repair status and any additional work needed
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with dealership and manufacturer standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Stay up to date with manufacturer training and evolving diesel technology
- Test drive vehicles as needed to verify repairs and performance
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of automotive/diesel technician experience required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL Preferred)
- Must have Ford Certifications
- Must have own set of tools and toolbox
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Experience with diesel engines, electrical systems, and emissions systems
- Ability to use computers, tablets, and mobile devices for work-related tasks
- Ability to learn and adapt to dealership management systems and manufacturer-specific programs
- Proficient with diagnostic tools, scan equipment, and repair information systems
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position including, but not be limited to the following:
- Ability to safely operate and drive company vehicles, including service vans and customer vehicles
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching throughout the workday
- Ability to work in a shop environment with varying temperatures and conditions
- Ability to safely operate shop equipment and tools
- Must be able to perform repetitive motions and use hand tools for extended periods
Automotive Body Technician
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Pay: Based on Experience

Job Responsibilities
- Repair and restore vehicles to pre-accident condition
- Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
- Remove and replace damaged body panels
- Bolt or weld on replacement parts
- Straighten damaged or bent automobile and light truck frames
- Remove interior, accessories, electrical and trim to gain access to vehicle body and fenders
- Examine damaged vehicles and order necessary parts to repair them
- Sand and prime repaired surfaces
- Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Job Requirements

Position Summary: The Lube Technician is an entry-level position responsible for performing basic vehicle maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and multi-point inspections. This role performs intermediate to advanced mechanical repairs and ensures all vehicles are reconditioned efficiently and ready for sale within established timelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive mechanical inspections on used vehicles to determine reconditioning needs
- Complete assigned reconditioning work including suspension, steering, brake, cooling system, and minor engine repairs
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to ensure vehicles meet safety and dealership standards
- Identify and document all required repairs during the inspection process
- Accurately record work performed and parts needed on repair orders
- Work closely with service advisors and reconditioning managers to prioritize and complete work efficiently
- Maintain productivity to meet dealership reconditioning turnaround timelines
- Ensure all repairs are completed correctly the first time to minimize comebacks
- Follow manufacturer and dealership repair procedures and safety guidelines
- Assist with quality control checks to ensure vehicles are frontline-ready
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly care for tools and equipment
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding repair status and any additional needs
Education and Work Experience Requirements
- Must have 2+ years of Auto Technician/Mechanic Experience
- Must be current on ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including suspension, steering, braking, cooling, and drivability concerns
- Ability to perform full vehicle reconditioning including diagnostics, repairs, and part replacement
- Experience with intermediate to advanced repairs such as suspension components, wheel bearings, water pumps, radiators, and minor engine work
- Ability to perform accurate multi-point inspections and identify all reconditioning needs
- Ability to use computers, tablets, and mobile devices for work-related tasks
- Ability to learn and adapt to dealership management systems and manufacturer-specific programs
- Proficient with diagnostic tools, scan equipment, and repair information systems
- Ability to meet dealership reconditioning timelines while maintaining quality standards
